Professor Seth Quintus is the recipient of the 2024 UH Mānoa College of Social Sciences Award for Excellence in Teaching. Prof. Quintus noted that part of the evaluation process for this award was the submission of letters of support from students, both current and former. “Seeing the excitement and enthusiasm from these students as they were writing letters was very meaningful to me. While I do not view myself as an especially gifted teacher, I take my role as an educator very seriously, and I enjoy that part of my job quite a lot. Hearing from these students that I am helping them reach their goals while seeing them grow as individuals, whether in anthropology or not, gives me a great sense of fulfillment.” Congratulations Professor Quintus!
