We are excited to share some vibrant updates from the Department of Anthropology! Our program continues to flourish, with the number of anthropology majors steadily increasing. This year, we welcomed fourteen new graduate students, marking one of the highest incoming cohorts that we’ve seen in recent years. The enthusiasm is palpable, as our class enrollments are growing.
We are also pleased to announce that our faculty numbers are also increasing. Our department is in the process of hiring a biological anthropologist, enhancing our commitment to innovative research and teaching. This addition to our faculty will strengthen our department’s expertise and enrich our academic community.
To support our expanding anthropological community, we are also improving our learning environments. We are currently remodeling our classrooms to foster a more dynamic educational experience. In Saunders 345, we are installing sound-proof curtains, hard flooring, and new furniture, including rolling tables and tablet chairs. Similarly, Saunders 329 will feature new movable tables and chairs as well as a portable smart board, creating an adaptable space for interactive learning.
These upgrades reflect our commitment to providing a modern and engaging educational environment that meets the needs of our students and faculty. Thank you for your continued support of our department, and we look forward to keeping you updated on our progress!
Warm regards,
